LKCS is recruiting a full-time web developer to join our amazing and award-winning team. Your role will be to develop websites from design to completion, including all frontend and backend site development, client side and server-side programming, and basic database design.

You should bring your knowledge of:

  • ASP.NET/.NET Core
  • C#
  • CSS (Specifically Sass)
  • HTML
  • JavaScript
  • MS SQL
  • MySQL
  • PHP
  • Razor
  • UX/CX

We'll need your keen eye and problem-solving skills. Communicating your ideas and processes well with others will be very important, and so will staying up to date with the latest technologies for web development and database programming.

Day-to-day, you could be working on the development and maintenance of websites, web-based applications, online tools, and more. Do you consider yourself a multi-tasker? Great! Things tend to be fast paced and you'll work on a number of projects simultaneously.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Remaining updated on programming trends, techniques, and languages, as well as industry related technologies. Having a strong desire and willingness to learn is a must. Applicants should expect to participate in education opportunities, read professional publications, maintain professional networks, and participate in professional industry organizations.
  • Interacting and sharing project specific details with a diverse team of programmers, designers, salespeople, and customers. Being able to explain ideas and concepts is important, as is listening to and accepting opposing points of view.
  • Collaborating with a team of designers and developers on in-house projects and larger customer projects. Working directly with our team of creative designers to build websites, tools, and applications for financial institutions and local businesses.
  • Providing ongoing website maintenance - making routine programming edits to existing websites and developing new applications, features, and assistive tools as needed.

Requirements, Skills, & Qualifications:

Minimum of 2-years programming experience. Be able to explain or demonstrate past site development projects and experiences, including examples of creative problem solving.

Proficient in industry leading programming languages. Have in-depth knowledge and experience using HTML, SCSS, JavaScript, ASP.NET/.NET Core, C#, Razor, PHP, MS SQL, and MySQL.

An eye for detail. Be able to spot glaring design/programming issues, spelling and grammar problems, and other mistakes on digital projects.

A creative problem solver with a passion for web development and a future-friendly approach. Applicants should be focused on performance, standards, and accessibility.

Ability to support clients by developing documentation to meet their needs.

An awareness and significant interest to learn, and a curiosity to try new things. Be able to evolve as trends and industry standards do through individual and team-driven research and training.

Working efficiently. Have a strong work ethic and be able to meet project deadlines without sacrificing quality.

Ability to assist in project scoping, estimating, and planning. Applicants should have a true sense of their abilities as a developer and be able to provide accurate time estimates for completing web projects.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Be able to present and articulate ideas to team members and customers by way of conversation and email.

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven business professional environment.

Keep organized and check your work for accuracy, omissions, and excellence.

Work hard, have fun, and learn a lot along the way!

Additional skills preferred, but not required:

  • Experience in using CMS platforms – WordPress, Sitefinity, DNN, etc.
  • Experience in using Git.
